Breathalysers Compulsory in France

From the 1st July this year it will be compulsory for all drivers or anyone driving through France to have a breathalyser in their car.

The measure has been introduced in an attempt to reduce the large numbers of alcohol induced fatalities on French roads every year.

If you are attending any RMA track days this year where you may be driving through France make sure you have one in your car. A single use breathalyser (picutred below) will satisfy requirements and only cost around £2 are available at the ferry/Eurotunnel terminal.

If caught without one in the car you could be subject to a hefty 11 Euro fine!?!
