Jaguar F-Type R Coupe
The Jaguar F-Type R Coupe follows the successful debut of the F-Type Convertible. Coming in with a price tag of £85,000, it competes with rivals including the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Porsche Cayman and Porsche 911.
Jaguar claims that the Coupe is “the most dynamically capable, performance-focused production Jaguar ever made”.
Running the same supercharged 5.0-litre V8 as the V8S Convertible, the flagship R Coupe boast outputs of 542bhp and 680Nm. The power means it covers 0-60mph in four seconds flat before hitting a top speed of 186mph, so it's up there with some of it's most exotic rivals.
With plenty of front-end grip, the R turns in quickly and accurately, allowing you to confidently place it on the entry to a corner and with Jaguar's expertise in aluminium construction going to the next level with this car, the Coupe’s body is the most torsionally rigid of any car they have made, at 80 per cent stiffer than the convertible. This bodes well for this car’s performance claims.
So not only does it look good and it's fast, it's one of those cars that would be just as happy around an RMA track day at Spa as it would going for a trip to the local supermarket!
