Porsche Panamera GTS
The Panamera is becoming even more of a four-doored 911 thanks to the launch of the GTS version, which gets more power, lowered suspension and bigger brakes. It will be on sale in the UK in February priced at £90,409, which is £6,280 more than the four-wheeled drive 4S on which it is based.
It’s 4.8 litre normally aspirated V8 enjoys a 30bhp power hike to 424bhp, and torque rises 15lb ft to 384lb ft. The air suspension rides 10mm lower, and the brakes and 19-inch wheels are from the Turbo – the rears are spaced out by 5mm. Handling is regulated by electronic trickery: Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) is fitted, as is an electronically locking rear axle, and Porsche Torque vectoring Plus.
Standard equipment reflects the GTS’s extra sportiness. It features the Sound Symposer, which directs engine intake noise into the cabin, which is trimmed in leather and Alcantara and has the SportDesign steering wheel with shift paddles for the PDK gearbox. Sport Chrono is also standard. The bodywork features numerous styling details in black.
