RMA Track Days June Newsletter

Graham's bit...

It's all been happening since the last edition of our Newsletter with two visits to Silverstone GP and two days at our favourite Track in the entire world, Spa Francorchamps.

The first visit to Silverstone included the first of Michelins Pilot Sport Experience events with an amazing hospitality and tyre support service, a film crew from the Discovery Channel making a programme for worldwide distribution featuring UK petrol heads and their cars, the star of which was Paul Bailey's McLaren P1, also present was the new McLaren 650, so much nicer than the 12c, a Lamborghini Aventador and some very valuable historic cars to mention just a few! We also had a group from the Goodwood Road Racing Club and possibly a few too many racers from the Blancpain and British GT Championships trying to take advantage of the open pit lane track time, but generally they and everyone else was pretty well behaved.

Spa was as awesome as ever with two dry days and only one stoppage during the whole event. There were a few 'political 'problems with the Health and Safety Police for the Silverstone event last week bur fortunately everything was resolved satisfactorily and we ran with our usual open pit lane and incorporated the first round of the Michelin Pilot Sport Challenge with Paul Hodson wining the day and possibly an all expenses paid VIP trip to the 2015 Le Mans 24 Hour Race. If you're not familiar with the Challenge check it out here.

There are some great photos from Silverstone compliments of Jakob Ebrey and a selection from Spa by Frozen Speed on our Facebook page, copies are available from the respective photographers.

Our next event at Oulton Park on the 17th June is very nearly sold out and only has eight places left at the time of writing. Brands Hatch GP on the 26th June is also about to be closed so if you intend joining us on either of these events don't leave it too long.

The next round of the Michelin Pilot Sport Experience takes place at Snetterton on 10th July with the Michelin Pilot Sport Challenge 2nd round at Silverstone 17th September.

Remember, if you're not flat by the Apex you've gone in too fast!

Keep it on the black stuff.
