RMA Track Days May Newsletter

Graham's bit...

With all the major circuit events having been completely sold out so far, this year our forthcoming day at Snetterton on the 8th May still has space and offers a great opportunity to enjoy a day without the pressure and numbers associated with the Spa, Donington, and Silverstone Grand Prix circuits. Considering a day at Snett is less than half the price of a day at Silverstone GP and in my opinion the 300 layout is more challenging than Silverstone, I'm surprised we have any space whatsoever left.

Silverstone GP on the 19th May has limited availability and will be the first event attended by Michelin in conjunction with their Pilot Sport Challenge. This is a pan European promotion and something of this magnitude has never been seen in the Track Day industry before. Obviously RMA are very proud of their association with Michelin who are not only one of the biggest brand names in the world but more importantly are acknowledged as making the best tyres in the world. Check out the details of the challenge here. The link to register will be open shortly, alternatively you will obviously be able to register on the 19th.

Spa on the 26/27th May has been sold out for several weeks and the September event is over 50% full already. With the fantastic Spa circuit combined with excellent Eurotunnel and hotel deals it's obviously a very popular trip and don't forget the earlier you book the better the price.

Simulator Training

RMA have recently formed an official and exclusive partnership with Base Performance Simulators, situated near Banbury and owned by double Le Mans winning Aston Martin works driver, Darren Turner. The new BPS GT is equipped with two seats enabling your driver coach or engineer to instruct from in car without the cost of track day fees, fuel, tyres and no possibility of accident damage. Annalese, Leyton and I have all tried this and agree it's the best on the market and unlike most other simulators, it's specifically designed for tin top cars as opposed to the single seater formula cars. Check out their website via this link and then contact us to obtain the special rate we enjoy or arrange a session with our chief instructor.

Keep it on the black stuff.
