The renovations introduced significant banking to several corners, turning what was already a challenging track into a high speed rollercoaster!

The layout is defined by its constant elevation changes and the unique way the track follows the natural contour of the dunes. This creates several blind crests and high compression zones where the car feels incredibly planted. Unlike many modern circuits with vast tarmac run off areas, Zandvoort is unforgiving. Gravel traps sit waiting just beyond the white lines, demanding total precision and respect from every driver who takes on this track.

"Zandvoort is a circuit that rewards bravery but punishes overconfidence. The most striking features are the banked sections at Hugenholtz and the final Arie Luyendyk curve. These aren't just slight inclines, they are steep, bowl like turns that allow you to carry immense lateral force. To get the most out of them, you have to trust the grip and stay committed to a higher line than you might initially think natural."

"The wind plays a massive role here as well. Because it sits right on the coast, the North Sea breezes can blow fine sand onto the surface, which subtly alters grip levels from one lap to the next. My main tip is to focus on your vision. With so many blind apexes and crests, you need to be looking two steps ahead to ensure the car is settled before you ask it to change direction. It is a physical, high energy circuit that requires your full attention from start to finish."
